The day started out with a quick run to Big R. Inspiration hit us for where to mount the hilift jack we carry when offroading and we needed some bolts and washers. This is the result:
Next, we grabbed some donuts for the gang and went to our meeting spot where a few friends were already waiting.
We met up at the grocery store for last minute supplies (we wouldn't want to go hungry, afterall) in the morning and then headed out to the trail.
Not far in, we ran into some low hanging trees and a few of the rigs were too tall to squeeze under. Out came the chainsaw and problem solved!
A few obstacles later, another of our friends broke his driveline u-joint.
One of our friends recently had an exterior cage installed and it is strong! I got to ride with him a bit while he pulled the downed tree out of the way.
A few obstacles later, another of our friends broke his driveline u-joint.
Soon everyone was there to help or lend moral support. I supervised since these flippers aren't that good at holding tools.
Before long, we were back on the go and I got to ride with one of the smaller rigs so I got to see my drivers Jeep from the outside for a change.
It didn't take too much longer before we made it to the top! The views were gorgeous and everyone was starving!
Someone had the forethought to bring a grill with them so we got to have hot dogs for lunch! Awesome!
We played a bit on the rocks with our rigs...
And with our feet...
